Photoshop Tutorial

In this tutorial we will learn how to create a grunge effect on a photo.

1. Open a photograph of your subject in Photoshop.

2. Create a new layer on top of the photograph layer. Name it “Texture”.
3. Select the Paint Bucket. Fill in the “Texture” layer with white.
4. Make sure your foreground color is black and your background color is white.
5. Goto Filter > Render > Difference Clouds.
6. Goto Filter > Noise > Add Noise. Set the amount to 17, uniform, and monochromatic is checked.

7. Goto Filter > Sketch > Bas Relief. Set Detail to 5, set Smoothness to 3.

8. With “Texture” layer active, apply “Overlay” blending mode.

9. You should now have your Grunge Photo Effect.
