Photoshop Tutorial

In this tutorial, we’ll learn to create a cool looking text effect that has a paper texture. This is a great way to add some spice to your graphic design projects.
Step-By-Step Instructions:
1. Open a New Document in Photoshop. 400×150 hieght/width.
2. Create a new layer. Name it “Paper Texture”.
3. Select the Paint Bucket tool. Fill in the “Crack Texture” layer with a light grey color.

4. Goto Filter > Texture > Texturizer. Set Scaling to 100%, set the Relief to 4. Click OK to accept.

5. Select the Type tool. Choose any font you desire. Type a word onto a new layer across the texture.
6. Select the Magic Wand tool. Click outside of the text to select everything except the text.

7. Click on the “Eye” icon on the Layers Palette for the Type layer to hide it.
8. Click the “Paper Texture” layer the Layers Palette so that it is active.
9. Click the Delete key.

10. Feel free to right click the “Paper Texture” layer, select Blending Options, and then add any Blending Properties to the text to give it more interest. Such as a Drop Shadow or Bevel and Emboss effects.
